Materials
Printed in PLA.
A plastic made from plant sugars.
From crops such as corn.
Instead of oil.
Printed entirely in PLA, a plastic made from plant sugars - from crops such as corn - instead of oil.
Light through the wall.
Every part that glows - the shade, the orb, the diffuser - is printed as two walls, 0.84 mm thick together, in translucent PLA. Nothing lines it. The light comes through the material itself, and the colour of the wall is the colour of the light.
Matte where you touch it.
Bases, rings, bands and caps are printed in matte PLA: solid and without shine, so they frame the glow instead of competing with it. Each part takes its own colour, from 5.

5 colours that glow. 5 that don't.
Translucent PLA For the parts that glow. Pale colours fill a room; deep ones glow more quietly.

Matte PLA For the base and the trim, each part its own colour.

Colours on a screen are a guide. Each spool varies very slightly in tint, so for lamps that must match, order them together.
Every layer, left in.
Each lamp is printed to order from the bottom up, 0.2 mm at a time. The fine lines that run round every part are those layers. They are not sanded away: they are how the lamp was made, and lit from inside, they are part of how it looks.
Care and heat.
A printed lamp asks for very little, but it asks for this.
- LED bulbs only
- Never an incandescent or halogen bulb: inside a closed shade it runs far hotter than a printed lamp is made for. A 6 W LED runs far cooler, which is why only LEDs are allowed. Every lamp ships with its LED.
- Out of hot cars and hot sun
- Do not leave a lamp or a part in a parked car, or in direct sun on a windowsill.
- A dry cloth
- Dust with a dry cloth or a soft brush. Keep acetone, solvents and harsh cleaners away from the printed parts. Indoor use only.
